She's stranded in Europe and she's going to have the supernatural creatures begging for Mercy.
In the latest installment of the Mercy Thompson series, Silence Fallen, Mercy finds herself kidnapped by the most powerful vampire in the world. Cut off from the werewolves of the Columbia Basin Pack and her mate, alpha werewolf Adam Hauptman, Mercy Thompson finds there's only one thing left to do, cause a little chaos. But escaping is the least of her troubles. She'll have to endure vampires, werewolves, and ghost. Oh my! Can Mercy survive long enough for the calvary to show or will her rescuers cause a war amongst the monsters?
Review
As always Patricia Briggs has created a world I would gladly live in. Silence Fallen was a great addition to the Mercy Thompson series. The book starts out with the Columbia Basin Pack having their regular game of The Dead Pirate's Booty, an online role playing game (RPG), Mercy having already been killed by her stepdaughter Jesse, runs to the local Stop and Rob to pick up a few things. Chaos ensues when the most powerful vampire in the world kidnaps Mercy. Mercy now stranded in Europe, has to escape from the clutches of Iacopo Bonarata and try and keep safe until Adam can arrive. Through out this journey allies become enemies and enemies become friends, but in the end who will survive. This book was a lot of fun, though I did miss the pack. One of my favorite things about the Mercy Thompson series is the characters. I was missing Aiden and Warren and Zee, and for the love of all things good in this world I needed more Ben. I don't when it happened but sometime during this series that foul mouth brit stole my heart. I do have to say the change in point of view (POV) was interesting, word to he wise you have to read Mercy's notes at the beginning of each chapter. If not you'll have a hard time keeping up. And that little twist at the end was the best, I did not see it coming. It just goes to show you the little things can have a great impacted. I love Mercy and the whole gang and like always I am eager and ready for another dose.
