They say destiny's a bitch but the fey are about to find so is a half-breed.
Meghan Chase's life has always been off, ever since her father disappeared right before her eyes when she was six years-old. Never quite fitting in at home or school at least she has a best friend who always has her back. But when she finds a stranger watching her from the woods and her little brother is exchanged for a changeling, Meghan is thrown into a world she never knew existed. The lines blur between friend and foe, lover and enemy in this first installment of The Iron Fey series.
Review
The Iron King by Julie Kagawa was a surprisingly great story. Meghan Chase is this small town outcast who finds herself thrown into the world of the fey. I have to admit a quarter of the way into this book I thought I was going to have to give up on it, but I'm glad I stuck it out. The story itself was a interesting take on something we've seen hundreds of time before, though the "romance" didn't have the tension I like to see, it didn't ruin the story or slow it down. But let's face it I wanted more Puck and I think I'd like Meghan and him together. My heart broke for Beau, I hated that part. The book in all was a fun read nothing to deep. I think I'll check out the next book of the series.
