First Grave on the Right

 

Charley Davidson is a part-time private investigator and a full-time grim reaper. Meaning, she sees and interacts with dead people. Usually it's her job to direct them "to go into the light", but sometimes when someone dies of less than ideal circumstances they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. When three lawyers are murdered the same night all with gun shots to the head, it's Charley's job to figure out the why and hopefully the who of it. To make matters worse a dark figure has been following her her entire life, he might be dead or he might be something so much more. But what is it he wants with her? And why can't she seem to resist him? And in the end what does she have to lose if she gives in?

 

 

 

 

Review

First Grave on the Right is the first novel in the Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones. I have read this book about a dozen times and each time I read it it's just as entertaining as the very first time. Charley Davidson is a smart, sassy easy to love character, surrounded by a group of odd-ball characters who are just as loveable as she is. The wit in this book is now stop and there just enough action to make for a fast pace read. I don't recommend, I demand you try this book at least once because once you do you'll be hooked.
