Second Grave on the Left

Hanging around dead people can get pretty complicated, for part-time private investigator and full-time grim reaper Charley Davidson complicated is her middle name. The dead find her bright and sparkly, demons find her irresistible, and the son of Satan wants to seduce and claim her.

When Charley's best friend, neighbor, and slave... I mean receptionist, Cookie comes to Charley to help find a her friend Mimi, who disappeared five days earlier, Charley expects it be an open and shut  case. When cryptic messages, fake F.B.I. agents and three strange men all sporting guns start showing up can Charley stay alive long enough to put the pieces together?

Meanwhile, Reyes Alexander Farrow (also known as the supermodel son of Satan) has left his corporal body and is haunting Charley. As his body is being tortured by demons Reyes will do anything to those same demons from finding Charley even if that means letting his body die. Will Charley be able to solve a missing persons case and save the man she loves, and is there enough coffee in the world to aid her?
 Review
Second Grave on the Left by Darynda Jones is the second book in the Charley Davidson series. Taking place a week after the first book we dive back into the crazy fun world of Charley and her hilarious family and friends. What I really like about this book is how much more the other characters are involved in this book. This book begins with Cookie Charley's best friend comes storming in to Charley's apartment in a tornado of flying clothes and drags Charley out of bed in her bunny slippers and then proceeds to try to stuff her the trunk of her car, and this is within the first few pages. The rest of the book is filled with even more shenanigans. If you enjoyed First grave on the right then Second grave on the left is going to be right up your alley.
