Forst Burned

Mercy Thompson, VW mechanic and a walker is adjusting to her new role as mate and wife to Adam Hauptman. When she and her step daughter go out for a little black Friday shopping things don't work  out how they've planned after being in a minor finder bender Mercy finds that only one member of the pack remains. Ben the resident pack smart ass has been beaten pretty badly and has witnessed the abduction on his whole pack and the harm to pack family. Now it's up to Mercy, Ben, and a handful of friends are the only ones who are capable of saving the day, if only they knew what exactly it was they were saving it from.

Review
Frost Burned is the seventh book in the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. I love this book for one reason and that's because of Ben. Ben has become one of my favorite characters in this series and finally we get a big dose of the British snark  that makes him so both likable and an ass at the same time. There's sadness to this book too and the pack loses one of its most important members. I love the mix of emotions that only a stellar author can bring forth and Briggs does just that.

Night Broken

Mercy Thompson VW mechanic and shifter is the newly married to local werewolf alpha Adam Hauptman and she is finding that the pack is having trouble with her new role. But it's not as much trouble as Mercy is having since Adam's ex is back in town. The past Mrs. Hauptman is being stalked and he's not what he seems to be. Can Mercy and her mate survive this new threat and most importantly his ex or will everything they've fought for come crumbling down.

Review
Night Broken is the eighth book in the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. This book is very relatable everyone has insecurities and for someone who is strong those weaknesses hurt worse. Mercy has no problem running head long into trouble but when Adam's ex shows up she becomes a insecure girl. To me this book shows Mercy's true strength not by fighting a volcano man but y standing up for the people weaker than her even if they don't want her around.

River Marked

Mercy Thompson the VW mechanic is a walker, a person gifted with native magic, she can change into a coyote. She also just got married to her handsome neighbor and the local werewolf alpha Adam Hauptman. Though the wedding was a surprise the honeymoon is even more so. Mercy and Adam's trip takes a deadly turn when a local native American legend shows up and Mercy's past joins in on the chaos.

River Marked is the sixth book in the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. This book was not one of my favorites in this series. To me the best part of these books is the characters and they're only it in it for a chapter or two. But do not get me wrong you have to read this book. It explains so much about Mercy and her past, that you get a brand new appreciation for Mercy and what she has been through. I also enjoyed the native legends, it was interesting.

Silver Borne

Mercy Thompson has survived the fae, the vampires, and all the other monsters that have come for her. But this time it isn't the unknown she's fighting it's her best friend. Mercy has known Samuel her whole life, but even as a child Mercy knew Samuel was an old wolf and when a werewolf gets old they can lose themselves. Mercy's not dealing with Samuel the man anymore she's dealing with Sam the wolf and together they need to find a reason for Samuel to want to live or lose him forever.
But if that wasn't bad enough someone has got it out for Mercy yet again, can Mercy save the day and the life of her dearest friend or will all be lost.
Review
Silver Borne is the fifth book of the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. One of the things I like most about this series is the relationships  So having a book dedicated to the friendship between Mercy and Samuel, I was all about this book and I was not disappointed. Not only do we see the history and love between the two but we understand more about the werewolves. The best thing about this book to me is that you can see the characters start to come together as a strange little family.

Bone Crossed

VW mechanic Mercy Thompson has had a hard time keeping the piece between humans and non-humans. But when Marsilia, the mistress of the local vampire seethe finds out that Mercy is responsible for the death of one of her vampires, Mercy is in a world of trouble.
It's only been a week since Mercy's world was turned upside down and her life forever changed. But as she is trying to get her life back on track she receives three unlikely visitors: her mother, her good friend and Scooby Doo loving vampire Stephan, and her college roommate whom she hasn't spoken to since she graduated. Stephan is in a bad way and his condition is a warning. Now her old roommate shows up and offers Mercy a convenient place to escape to.
Mercy finds herself faced with hostile ghosts, vicious vampires, and an on coming war between the werewolves and vampires.
Mercy's a survivor but is she strong enough to live through this.

Review
Bone Crossed is the fourth installment of the Mercy Thompson series. I love the realistic characters of this series. Mercy's reaction to what happened to her is so true, I felt it every time she had one of her panic attacks. The books in this series just get better and better.
